THEREFORE I AM is a Boston band that has outgrown the confines of outdated genre tags like "emo" and "post hardcore" and use their live performance to ignite that hardcore energy and spirit that seems to be missing in today's music. With their passion securely in check and their hard-work ethic in hand, the band made 2006 a memorable and successful one with their first full U.S. tour, 2 east coast tours, landing a coveted spot on the Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands Warped Tour stage and cutting a demo with esteemed producer Matt Squire (Panic! At the Disco, The Receiving End Of Sirens). 2007 has already continued that momentum landing the opening spot on Rockstar's Taste of Chaos local date, being featured in Alternative Press Magazine as a "Best Unsigned Band of the Month" and featured as one of the "Top 30 Unsigned Bands in the U.S." on DailyChorus.com. The band will be heading into the studio this August with producer Mike Poorman (Paulson, TREOS, Hot Rod Circuit) to record a new ep which will be out early fall so be on the look-out!
